Use of the Plasma Spectrum RMS Signal for Arc-Welding Diagnostics

open access: yesSensors, 2009
A new spectroscopic parameter is used in this paper for on-line arc-welding quality monitoring. Plasma spectroscopy applied to welding diagnostics has typically relied on the estimation of the plasma electronic temperature, as there is a known ...

Plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition of nanostructured gold near room temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PE-ALD) process to deposit metallic gold is reported, using the previously reported Me3Au(PMe3) precursor with H-2 plasma as the reactant.

Second order reflection from crystals used in soft X-ray spectroscopy

open access: yesNukleonika, 2015
In this note the ratio of the second to the first order reflection is determined for the KAP and PbSt crystals, for wavelengths corresponding to the Al K-line emission. The source of the radiation was a low-voltage stabilized X-ray tube.

Effect of Plasma on Polyethylene by Positron Lifetime Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2022
Hypothesis: The use of plasma is widely used as a method to change polymer surfaces. The use of atmospheric cold plasma has more advantages than other plasma, laser and X-ray methods. This method is simple and it uses inexpensive equipment.

Fast High Resolution Echelle Spectroscopy Of A Laboratory Plasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
An echelle diffraction grating and a multianode photomultiplier tube are paired to construct a high resolution (R=lambda/delta lambda approximate to 2.5x10(4)) spectrograph with fast time response for use from the UV through the visible.

On-Chip Microplasmas for the Detection of Radioactive Cesium Contamination in Seawater

open access: yesMicromachines, 2017
On-chip microplasmas have previously been used in designing a compact and portable device for identifying pollutants in a water sample. By exciting a liquid sample with a high energy microdischarge and recording the spectral wavelengths emitted, the ...

Plasma Spectroscopy on an Aluminum-Pellet Ablation Cloud in an LHD Plasma with an Echelle Spectrometer

open access: yesAtoms, 2020
We developed an echelle spectrometer for the simultaneous observation of the whole visible range with a high instrumental resolution, for example, 0.055 nm (full width at the half maximum) at 400 nm and 0.10 nm at 750 nm.

Chandra High Resolution X-ray Spectroscopy of AM Her [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present the results of high resolution spectroscopy of the prototype polar AM Herculis observed with Chandra High Energy Transmission Grating. The X-ray spectrum contains hydrogen-like and helium-like lines of Fe, S, Si, Mg, Ne and O with several Fe L-

Gallstone Magnesium Distributions from Optical Emission Spectroscopy

open access: yesAtoms, 2018
This work reports measurements of calcified gallstone elemental compositions using laser-induced optical emission spectroscopy. The experimental results support the importance of the magnesium concentration in gallstone growth.

Plasma Spectroscopy

open access: yesFusion Science and Technology, 2010
A brief introduction into the spectroscopy of fusion plasmas is presented. Basic principles of the emission of ionic, atomic and molecular radiation is explained and a survey of the effects, which lead to the population of the respective excited levels, is given. Line radiation, continuum radiation, opacity and line broadening mechanisms are addressed.
