Atto-Joule, high-speed, low-loss plasmonic modulator based on adiabatic coupled waveguides
In atomic multi-level systems, adiabatic elimination (AE) is a method used to minimize complicity of the system by eliminating irrelevant and strongly coupled levels by detuning them from one another.

Controlling Collective Quasiparticle Dynamics Beyond Decoherence in Topological Interfaces
Gold nanoparticles placed above a deformed honeycomb plasmonic crystal couple to a chiral topological interface mode. The pseudospin‐split bands ψ+/ ψ− encode spin‐momentum locking, so emitters radiate directionally along the domain wall and share a common phase.

High‐Efficiency Graphene‐Silicon Slot‐Waveguide Microring Modulator at 1.5 and 2 µm Wavelength Bands
E/O modulators typically face a trade‐off between bandwidth and modulation efficiency. An integrated E/O modulator is presented that simultaneously achieves wideband, large bandwidth, and high modulation efficiency operation by embedding a partially overlapped double‐layer graphene on a compact silicon slot‐waveguide microring resonator.

Design of a Symmetric Hybrid Graphene Plasmonic Waveguide with High Confinement and Efficiency [PDF]
Plasmons in graphene have unusual properties and offer promising prospects for plasmonic applications covering a wide frequency range from terahertz to the visible spectrum, and many studies have been conducted on plasmon modes in graphene.

Mach-Zehnder Interferometer Refractive Index Sensor Based on a Plasmonic Channel Waveguide
A Mach-Zehnder interferometer based on a plasmonic channel waveguide is proposed for refractive index sensing. The structure, with a small physical footprint of 20 × 120 μm2, achieved a high figure of merit of 294.

Tunable Terahertz Generation in Dispersion‐Engineered ZnTe Waveguides
A dispersion‐engineered Zinc Telluride (ZnTe) slab waveguide platform enables tunable and efficient guided‐wave terahertz (THz) generation through modal phase matching. By tailoring the optical and THz modal dispersion, coherent THz emission is achieved across 0.1–3 THz.

Ultracompact vanadium dioxide dual-mode plasmonic waveguide electroabsorption modulator
Subwavelength modulators play an indispensable role in integrated photonic-electronic circuits. Due to weak light-matter interactions, it is always a challenge to develop a modulator with a nanometer scale footprint, low switching energy, low insertion ...
