Social and Cultural Cleanup Program as an Effective Solution to Increase the Beachgoer Awareness and Mitigation of Marine Contamination Through Citizen Science: The Persian Gulf as a Case [PDF]

open access: yesIranian South Medical Journal
Background: Beachgoers have been identified as the primary contributors to contamination along the Persian Gulf in Bushehr port, where they frequently visit the beaches.

LCA-based indicators for recycling: a case study on plastic waste treatment in Flanders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The last decades, waste management strategies are shifting from waste disposal to recycling, considering waste as resources. To quantitatively monitor the progress in this transition, a wide range of indicators has been developed. One of these indicators

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Sémiotique visuelle et histoire de l’art. Témoignage

open access: yesSignata, 2011
This paper offers a testimony of the way semiotics helped me in my work as an art historian. It is therefore focused on my own researches and deals with the modification of my relationship to semiotics with the passing years.

Mesoscopic simulation study of wall roughness effects in micro-channel flows of dense emulsions

open access: yes, 2014
We study the Poiseuille flow of a soft-glassy material above the jamming point, where the material flows like a complex fluid with Herschel- Bulkley rheology.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
