A Brain‐Penetrant Nanobody Reveals GSK3β‐Driven Proline‐Directed Phosphorylation as a Master Regulator of Ischemic Neurodegeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A brain‐targeted nanoparticle enables delivery of a therapeutic nanobody (Nb.29E9) that inhibits pathogenic GSK3β signaling. This intervention restores AMPK/mTORC1/TGFβ homeostasis, attenuates neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, and promotes long‐term functional recovery after ischemic stroke.

In‐Process Magnetization for 3D Printing of Magnetorheological Elastomer with Heterogeneous Magnetic Profile for Anisotropic Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fully programmable, in‐process 3D magnetization integrated with multi‐material printing enables soft magnetic systems with precise actuation and sensing. Discrete and continuous magnetization profiles drive bending, morphing, and locomotion, demonstrated through strain‐sensing elements, dragonfly‐inspired wings, octopus‐like tentacles, and a serpentine

A Blood‐Derived Double‐Network Hydrogel with Robust Wet Adhesion for Keratinized Mucosa Regeneration via Neutrophil Phenotype Reprogramming and Mechanophysical Niche Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The iPRF‐MA/Alg‐NHS/Lut@EGCG (PGAE) double‐network hydrogel achieves durable wet adhesion in the oral environment. It simultaneously reprograms neutrophils from NETosis to phagocytosis for biofilm clearance, and activates the FAK‐RhoA‐YAP mechanotransduction pathway in gingival fibroblasts to drive extracellular matrix remodeling, thereby promoting ...

Cyclic Behavior of Steel Beam to CFT Column Connections with Gusset Plates

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
Beam-brace-CFT (concrete-filled tubular) column connections provide excellent performance in resisting seismic loads in high-risk areas. However, the load transmission mechanism of this type of connection still remains unclear, and there is a lack of ...

Longitudinal Single‐Axon‐Resolution Imaging of Peripheral Nerve Injury Response in Mice Using an Optical Window Implant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A minimally invasive optical window enables stable, long‐term imaging of peripheral nerves in vivo at single‐axon resolution. Dynamic processes of degeneration, regeneration, and cellular remodeling are visualized across multiple time scales within the same nerve region, providing a unique platform to study a variety of anatomical and molecular events ...

Psychological Stress Associated Bile Acid Reprogramming Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Depression is increasingly recognized as a risk factor for chronic diseases, yet its biological impact on cancer remains unclear. Using data from more than 490 000 participants across three international cohorts, we show that depression significantly increases the risk of liver cancer.

Use of Regression Analysis in Determining the Length of Plastic Hinge in Reinforced Concrete Columns

open access: yes, 2014
Basic objective of this study is to create a regression analysis method that can estimate the length of a plastic hinge which is an important design parameter, by making use of the outcomes of (lateral load-lateral displacement hysteretic curves) the experimental studies conducted for the reinforced square concrete columns.
