YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Neodymium-Mediated Coordinative Chain Transfer Polymerization of Isoprene in the Presence of External Donors

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Nd-based polydiene elastomers, including NdIR and NdBR, are regarded as indispensable key raw materials in preparing green tires with excellent performance capabilities, but their wide application is still limited by the relative higher cost of Nd ...

The creep behaviour of fibre reinforced plastics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Synopsis: This paper describes the tensile creep behaviour of fibre reinforced plastics under a uniaxial stress system. In particular, unidirectionally and bidirectionally reinforced plastics are considered for the relative ease with which samples of

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Characterization of Polymer Surfaces by the Use of Different Wetting Theories Regarding Acid-Base Properties

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, 2017
The existing wetting methods for the determination of acid-base properties on solid surfaces are discussed. Striving for a better understanding of the adhesive polymer interactions in adhesively joined polymers, the methods of Berger and van Oss ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Interfacial nanocomposite sensors (sQRS) for the core monitoring of polymer composites’ fatigue and damage analysis

open access: yesNanocomposites, 2018
The quick development of the smart factory and prognostic and health management (PHM), in the fields of aeronautic, automotive and green energies, is evidencing a need for sensors able to monitor the behavior of composite materials all along their life ...

A Simple Methodology to Better Appreciate Structures in Mandibular Angle Fractures Using 3-Dimensional Reconstruction Software [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2019
Introduction: In Singapore, fractures of the mandible are common and of which, 32% occur at its angle. Current TwoDimensional (2D) imaging methods are lacking in accuracy, leading to increased surgical morbidity.
