Non-canonical proteolytic activation of human prothrombin by subtilisin from Bacillus subtilis may shift the procoagulant\ue2\u80\u93anticoagulant equilibrium toward thrombosis [PDF]
Blood coagulation is a finely regulated physiological process culminating with the factor Xa (FXa)-mediated conversion of the prothrombin (ProT) zymogen to active -thrombin (T).

In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

The PON1 M55L gene polymorphism is associated with reduced HDL-associated PAF-AH activity
The platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase activity associated with high density lipoprotein (HDL-PAF-AH) may substantially contribute to the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and overall antiatherogenic effects of HDL.

Prolonged Exposure to Platelet Activating Factor Transforms Breast Epithelial Cells
Lipid species are known to have various biological functions owing to their structural differences, and each of them possesses a specific role to play depending upon their location and distribution in the cell. Some of these lipids interact with proteins

Small extracellular vesicles are a promising source of diagnostic molecules. We conducted a comprehensive study, including transcriptome profiling and RT‐qPCR validation on large cohorts of samples. Diagnostic panels enabling sensitive detection of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions were established. Some molecules were differentially expressed
