Glomerular platelet-activating factor levels and origin in experimental glomerulonephritis [PDF]
Glomerular platelet-activating factor levels and origin in experimental glomerulonephritis. The content of platelet activating factor (PAF) in glomeruli isolated from rats with nephrotoxic serum glomerulonephritis (NSGN) was quantified at various stages ...

Targeted metabolomics reveals novel diagnostic biomarkers for colorectal cancer
This study employed targeted metabolomic profiling to identify 302 distinct metabolites present in platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), revealing aberrant metabolic profiles amongst individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC). Compared to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 19‐9 (CA199), our metabolite panel showed improved sensitivity ...

Staphylococcus aureus lipoteichoic acid inhibits platelet activation and thrombus formation via the Paf receptor [PDF]
Impaired healing is common in wounds infected with the major human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus, although the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Composite Quantile Factor Model [PDF]
This paper introduces the method of composite quantile factor model for factor analysis in high-dimensional panel data. We propose to estimate the factors and factor loadings across multiple quantiles of the data, allowing the estimates to better adapt to features of the data at different quantiles while still modeling the mean of the data.

Platelet-Activating Factor-Receptor and Tumor Immunity [PDF]
First described in 1972 by Benveniste and colleagues, platelet-activating factor (PAF) remains one of the potent phospholipid known to date. The role of PAF produced enzymatically in mediating diverse biological and pathophysiological processes including

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...
