Organoid‐Like Neurovascular Spheroids Promote the Recovery of Hypoxic‐Ischemic Skin Flaps Through the Activation of Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Highly sprouting organoid‐like neurovascular spheroids (NVUs) are developed, featuring cell‐loaded poly‐3‐hydroxybutyrate 4‐hydroxybutyrate(P34HB) porous microsphere cores embedded within Gelatin Methacryloyl. NVUs formed complex vascular plexuses and secreted extracellular matrix in vitro, simulating autologous nerves and blood interaction.

Probing the Effects of the FGFR-Inhibitor Derazantinib on Vascular Development in Zebrafish Embryos

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2020
Angiogenesis is a fundamental developmental process and a hallmark of cancer progression. Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) are targets for cancer therapy which may include their action as anti-angiogenic agents.

RBC Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanosystem‐Mediated Synergistic Drug Combination for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An RBC membrane camouflaged, cell‐penetrating peptides R8‐based drug delivery system is constructed to achieve a synergistic combination of natural compounds triptolide (TP) and celastrol (Cel), inducing tumor cell apoptosis, reducing tumor metastasis invasion and triggering autophagy disorder in breast cancer and liver cancer.

Imatinib Inhibits GH Secretion From Somatotropinomas

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2018
Background: Imatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, causes growth failure in children with chronic myeloid leukemia probably by targeting the growth hormone (GH)/insulin like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) axis.

Stochastic models of the binding kinetics of VEGF-A to VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 in endothelial cells [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs) are receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) that regulate proliferation, migration, angiogenesis and vascular permeability of endothelial cells. VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 bind vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs), inducing receptor dimerisation and activation, characterised by phosphorylation of tyrosine ...

Influence of Hypoxia on a Biomaterial Model of the Bone Marrow Perivascular Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Hypoxia is a key factor in bone marrow physiology and hematopoietic stem cell behavior. Lower oxygen tension influences the secretion of vasculature‐derived hematopoietic regulatory factors and alters hematopoietic cell behavior in a conditioned medium hydrogel model of bone marrow. Cyclosporin A is used to mitigate normoxic stress during hematopoietic

Involvement of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor–BB and Its Receptor-β in Hypoxia-Induced Depression of Excitatory Synaptic Transmission in the Nucleus Tractus Solitarius of Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2010
The role of platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF)-BB / PDGF receptor (PDGFR)-β signal in inhibition of synaptic transmission by hypoxia is unclear. In the nucleus tractus solitarius neurons, hypoxia with N2 or NaCN decreased the amplitude of excitatory ...
