[Platelet adhesion and adhesive proteins--how to measure the platelet adhesiveness].
Rinsho byori. The Japanese journal of clinical pathology, 1992We examined, platelet adhesive function in vivo by comparing the platelet retention rate (PRR) with other laboratory tests. In 71 patients, PRR did not correlate with bleeding time (BT), ristocetin-induced platelet agglutination (RIPA), vWF:AG, vWF:RCo, FVIII:C, fibrinogen, platelets counts or platelet aggregation tests.

Publisher Summary This chapter explores the platelet surface receptors involved in adhesion and their structure/function relationships. Platelets contain a wide variety of membrane glycoproteins many of that are critical for adhesion or aggregation.

Molecular Mechanism of Platelet Adhesion
1985This paper concerns the adhesion of platelets to subendothelial structures, as measured in perfusion systems such as that developed by Baumgartner and his collaborators (1,2) and subsequently modified by Sakariassen et al (3,4). It has been shown that platelet adhesion to subendothelium is defective, particularly at high shear rates, in two hereditary ...
