The podiform chromitites in the Dagküplü and Kavad mines, Eskisehir ophiolite (NW-Turkey): Genetic implications of mineralogical and geochemical data

open access: yesGeologica Acta, 2009
Mantle tectonites from Eskisehir (NW-Turkey) include high-Cr chromitites with limited variation of Cr#, ranging from 65 to 82. Mg# ratios are between 54 and 72 and chromite grains contain up to 3.71 wt% Fe2O3 and 0.30 wt% TiO2.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Basic Study on Distribution Behavior of Platinum Group Ions Using TPPS-[Cnmim][Tf2N] in Hydrochloric Acid Medium

open access: yesJournal of MMIJ, 2017
Although solvent extraction has been used in the recovery of rare metals from urban mines, some challenges remain. For example, large amounts of organic solvent are required for Pd (II) separation owing to the slow extraction kinetics of dihexylsulfide ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Quantitative bioimaging of platinum group elements in tumor spheroids

open access: yes, 2022
S.106-113Limited drug penetration into tumor tissue is a significant factor to the effectiveness of cancer therapy. Tumor spheroids, a 3D cell culture model system, can be used to study drug penetration for pharmaceutical development.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

The distribution and geochemistry of platinum-group elements at the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary.

open access: yes, 1992
The globally-deposited clay layer marking the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary has been studied to determine the mineralogical carrier phases for the anomalously concentrated platinum-group elements, the affinity of these elements for organic complexes in ...

Micromagnetic survey experience in the mapping of the South Sopcha platinum-bearing intrusion, Monchegorsk ore district

open access: yesVestnik MGTU
The norite-pyroxenite zone hosting platinum group element (PGE) mineralization is located at the base of the South Sopcha intrusion being a part of the Monchegorsk layered complex.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
