Temporal‐Parotid Resection for Malignant Parotid Tumors: A Systematic Review
Parotid gland tumors represent a complex surgical challenge. Temporal‐parotid resection (TPR) is indicated to manage temporal bone invasion. Thirteen studies investigated the role of TPR in literature, including 336 patients. High rates of negative margins and local disease control are achieved with TPR.

Pleomorphic Adenoma of the Trachea [PDF]
Pleomorphic adenoma is a common neoplasm of salivary glands, but its occurrence in the trachea is very rare [1] . Tracheal tumors, including tracheal pleomorphic adenoma, often cause obstructive symptoms such as dyspnea and wheezing mimicking asthma, leading to delay in diagnosis [2] .

Pleomorphic Adenoma in the Lower Lip: A Case Report and a Review
Pleomorphic adenoma constitutes 50% of salivary gland tumors affecting mostly the parotid gland extraorally, and the palate intraorally. While the upper lip is a common site, it is unusual to encounter this tumor in the lower lip.

Pleomorphic adenoma of buccal minor salivary gland: A case report
Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor that is frequently seen in the parotid gland. It is very rare in minor salivary glands. The case we present is a case of pleomorphic adenoma originating from the buccal minor salivary gland, which ...

Radiotherapy for pleomorphic adenoma
The aim of this study was to update our experience in treating pleomorphic adenoma with radiotherapy (RT).This is a retrospective analysis of 25 patients treated with RT alone (2 patients) or combined with surgery (23 patients), with follow-up ranging from 1.8 to 34.9 years (median, 10.5 years).Local control was achieved in 13 (75%) of 16 patients with

Pleomorphic Adenoma of the Palate [PDF]
Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign tumor of the salivary glands that has elements of both epithelial and mesenchymal tissues. The tumor most commonly arises in the parotid or submandibular glands. Infrequently, it may arise from the minor salivary glands and present as an intraoral mass over the palate or lip.

Insight Into Body Size Evolution in Aves: Based on Some Body Size–Related Genes
These findings provide new insights into the genetic determinants of body size evolutionary mechanisms in Aves. ABSTRACT Birds exhibit remarkable variations in body size, making them an ideal group for the study of adaptive evolution. However, the genetic mechanisms underlying body size evolution in avian species remain inadequately understood.

Complications after superficial parotidectomy for pleomorphic adenoma
Background The significance of complications after superficial parotidectomy remains unclear, since prospective studies are lacking. The aim of this study was to evaluate facial nerve dysfunction and other postoperative complications after superficial ...
