5,7,2′,5′-Tetrahydroxydihydroflavonol 3-rhamnoside from Plinia pinnata

Phytochemistry, 1994
Abstract A new dihydroflavonol glycoside, 5,7,2′,5′-tetrahydroxydihydroflavonol 3- O -α- l -rhamnopyranoside, was isolated from the aerial parts of Plinia pinnata . Myricetin, myricitrin, oleanolic acid, α-amyrin, and β-amyrin were also identified in the plant. The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods.

Three combinations in Brazilian Plinia (Myrtaceae)

Phytotaxa, 2017
Plinia Plumier ex Linnaeus (1753: 516; for descriptions see Landrum & Kawasaki 1997: 529 and Wilson 2011: 255) is largely identified by the presence of congested to racemiform (very rarely paniculiform) inflorescences with tetramerous, bilocular and tetraovulate flowers with calyces persisting after anthesis and seeds with two distinct plano-convex

A galactose-rich heteropolysaccharide extracted from “jaboticaba” (Plinia cauliflora) peels

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2020
The objective of this work was to extract, identify and characterize a galactose-rich heteropolysaccharide (GH) from "jaboticaba" peel. The best conditions to extract the GH according to a 23 full-factorial experimental design were 90 °C/30 min/pH 1.0, resulting in a 32.32 % yield using lyophilized sample.

Essential oil composition of four Plinia species (Myrtaceae)

Flavour and Fragrance Journal, 2006
AbstractThe essential oils obtained by steam distillation from fresh leaves of four Plinia species were analysed by GC–FID and GC–MS. Fifty‐two compounds were identified, accounting for 83.9–98.0% of the total oil. The four Plinia species were characterized by the dominance of sesquiterpenes, especially oxygenated sesquiterpenes. For P.
