Sustainable pH‐Responsive Indicator of Meat Freshness Applied to Pork Packaging

This research explores the potential of a biopolymeric film as a colorimetric indicator to monitor pork freshness through pH changes. Jaboticaba epicarp extracts were obtained via maceration and analyzed for their total phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and total anthocyanin content.

Introdução: Plinia glomerata Berg pertencente à família Myrtaceae e é conhecida como "Cabeludinha" devido à sua aparência peluda, é uma planta nativa brasileira amplamente distribuída no sul do Brasil. Seu fruto é arredondado e possui uma coloração amarela com alto teor de ácido ascórbico quando maduro, suculento, agradável e levemente ácido.

ABSTRACT Seed endophytic bacteria and fungi are co‐dispersed with seeds and are likely founders of the initial endophytic microbiome in developing seedlings. The effects of the seed microbiome on seedling survival and growth are of particular interest for their roles in protection against pathogens and plant resistance to environmental stress.
