Pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (PLP) is widely used by many enzymes in reactions where amino acids are interconverted. Whereas the role of the pyridoxal ring in catalysis is well understood, the functional role of the single phosphate group in PLP has been less studied.

Prioritized Logic Programs (PLPs) [7] introduce explicit representation of priorities to logic programs. They realize various types of (prioritized) commonsense reasoning in artificial intelligence including preference abduction [5]. Recently, the authors realize a sound and complete procedure for computing preferred answer sets of a PLP [8].

In piece-wise linear programming (PLP), the objective function is convex and piece-wise linear and the constraints are linear. The PLP algorithm is described in detail and the advantages of this technique over linear programming are discussed.

Oligodendrocyte development in PLP“pt” mutant rabbits: glycolipid antigens and PLP gene expression
Metabolic Brain Disease, 1995Paralytic tremor (pt), a hereditary neurological disorder of rabbits is a recessive, X-linked point mutation of the gene for proteolipid protein (PLP) biosynthesis. This mutation results in substitution of histidine by glutamine in the PLP molecule and produces severe hypomyelination.

Expression of the PLP Gene and a PLP-LacZ Transgene in Oligodendrocytes
1997Myelination is essential for normal nervous system development, and a wide variety of environmental and genetic factors lead to dysmyelination, which is a serious neurobiological problem (Raine, 1984). Central nervous system (CNS) myelin is a differentiation of the oligodendrocyte plasma membrane, which is produced during a relatively narrow time ...

Integrating RASTA-PLP into speech recognition
Proceedings of ICASSP '94. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2002In previous work, we and others have shown that bandpass filtering of temporal trajectories of simple functions of the critical band spectrum can lead to more robust speech recognizers in the presence of additive and convolutional error. In this study we report results on several mechanisms for incorporating this analysis technique into training, in a ...

PLP: an automated tool for the processing of requirements
COMPSAC 79. Proceedings. Computer Software and The IEEE Computer Society's Third International Applications Conference, 1979., 2005The proper specification of the functional requirements for a real-time system is now recognized as a major consideration in the system develooment cycle. The functional reouirements document is used by the customer, the requirements writer, management, the software designer, ana the system test team.
