Perceptual linear predictive (PLP) analysis of speech

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1990
A new technique for the analysis of speech, the perceptual linear predictive (PLP) technique, is presented and examined. This technique uses three concepts from the psychophysics of hearing to derive an estimate of the auditory spectrum: (1) the critical-band spectral resolution, (2) the equal-loudness curve, and (3) the intensity-loudness power law ...

SOSIALISASI KEGIATAN PLP II

Haga : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, 2023
The purpose of this service is to inform the goals and benefits of carrying out the second school experience practicum activities to all PLP II participating students in supporting lecture activities. The method of implementing this service is carried out in the form of outreach to participants about how they will prepare when they will face various ...

Oligodendrocyte development in PLP“pt” mutant rabbits: glycolipid antigens and PLP gene expression

Metabolic Brain Disease, 1995
Paralytic tremor (pt), a hereditary neurological disorder of rabbits is a recessive, X-linked point mutation of the gene for proteolipid protein (PLP) biosynthesis. This mutation results in substitution of histidine by glutamine in the PLP molecule and produces severe hypomyelination.

The PLP Algorithm

Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1972
In piece-wise linear programming (PLP), the objective function is convex and piece-wise linear and the constraints are linear. The PLP algorithm is described in detail and the advantages of this technique over linear programming are discussed.

Mutant PLP/DM20 Cannot Be Processed to Secrete PLP-Related Oligodendrocyte Differentiation/Survival Factor

Neurochemical Research, 2001
Most of the mutations within the PLP gene result in degeneration of oligodendrocytes and this is believed to be caused by intracellular trafficking defects. Previous studies have demonstrated that cells expressing the wild type PLP gene release a factor promoting differentiation/survival of oligodendrocyte and that this factor is the C-terminal portion
