Prioritized Logic Programs (PLPs) [7] introduce explicit representation of priorities to logic programs. They realize various types of (prioritized) commonsense reasoning in artificial intelligence including preference abduction [5]. Recently, the authors realize a sound and complete procedure for computing preferred answer sets of a PLP [8].

Pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (PLP) is widely used by many enzymes in reactions where amino acids are interconverted. Whereas the role of the pyridoxal ring in catalysis is well understood, the functional role of the single phosphate group in PLP has been less studied.

This paper introduces a novel framework called Pragmatic Logic of Proofs, a formal system designed to address uncertainties and meaningless statements, also through a pragmatic lens. Building on modal logic, the system incorporates new values—Meaninglessness, Uncertainty, Pragmatic Truth, Pragmatic Falsehood, and Pragmatic Neutrality.

Perceptual linear prediction (PLP) is widely used in speech recognition systems as a feature extraction method. Also code-Exited Linear Prediction Coder CELP) is one of the well known speech coders which widely used in communication systems. In this paper the application of PLP in speech coding has been discussed.

RASTA-PLP speech analysis technique
[Proceedings] ICASSP-92: 1992 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1992Most speech parameter estimation techniques are easily influenced by the frequency response of the communication channel. The authors have developed a technique that is more robust to such steady-state spectral factors in speech. The approach is conceptually simple and computationally efficient. The new method is described, and experimental results are

Probabilistic Logic Programming (PLP 2017)
International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, 2019Probabilistic Logic Programming (PLP) has come to the fore in the last decades as one of the most promising ways to model and reason on many different domains, including for example bioinformatics, semantic web, robotics, and computer vision. Such domains have in common the fact that information may be incomplete and/or uncertain, requiring approaches ...

Expression of the PLP Gene and a PLP-LacZ Transgene in Oligodendrocytes
1997Myelination is essential for normal nervous system development, and a wide variety of environmental and genetic factors lead to dysmyelination, which is a serious neurobiological problem (Raine, 1984). Central nervous system (CNS) myelin is a differentiation of the oligodendrocyte plasma membrane, which is produced during a relatively narrow time ...

The development of information systems during the 1970's was primarily directed to the needs of commercial businesses and manufacturers. Now, with the advances in communications technology and the significant increase in microprocessor capabilities, the informational needs of the entire consumer market can be satisfied.

CNS myelination and PLP gene dosage
Pharmacogenomics, 2001The phenomenon of gene dosage effects demonstrates that the mechanisms of some genetic diseases are best recognised at the genomic level. Classical gene mutation screening approaches utilising PCR are unsuccessful in unravelling the basis of disease because the gene sequence is unaltered and only the copy number is different.

The PLP mutants from mouse to man
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 2005Research on the pathophysiology and possible therapy of Pelizaeus–Merzbacher disease (PMD) has been greatly aided by the availability of a significant number of models known as myelin mutants [1–3]. The majority of the Xlinked myelin mutants has been shown to have mutations in the proteolipid protein (PLP) gene.
