Influence of reality‐based imperfections on buckling behavior of steel bridge web panels under bending and shear stress

open access: yesce/papers, Volume 9, Issue 2-3, Page 2143-2147, September 2026.
Abstract To extend the service life of existing steel bridges, assessments using state‐of‐the‐art design models that account for actual conditions have become increasingly important. This is particularly critical when actual imperfections in existing members exceed manufacturing tolerances, making it challenging to draw direct conclusions from ...

Digital Transformation in Work Integration Social Enterprises: Leadership Strategies and the Role of Internal Stakeholders

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Volume 33, Issue 5, Page 7310-7328, September 2026.

Pelagic sea cucumbers in the Galapagos: Midwater grazers that short‐circuit deep‐sea carbon flux

open access: yesEcology, Volume 107, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Direct observations from submersible dives off the Galapagos Islands have revealed that Pelagothuria natatrix, the only known holopelagic echinoderm, actively intercepts settling particles well before they can reach the deep seafloor, thereby short‐circuiting the typical downward flux of organic carbon generated in the photic zone.

Empirical Model of Post‐Earthquake Restoration Time for Building Components Based on Data From the 2022 Fukushima‐ken Oki Earthquake in Japan

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 11, Page 2897-2915, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Estimation of the time required for damaged building components to return to their pre‐earthquake conditions through repair is a critical element in assessing the seismic resilience of buildings, and it requires consideration of uncertainty.

The length of winter influences the dissolved oxygen dynamics in a large ice‐covered dimictic lake

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract In dimictic lakes, under‐ice dissolved oxygen (DO) is shaped by stratification and mixing, oxygen consumption, and late‐winter algal production, which can increase upper‐water DO as light availability rises. Despite growing interest in these dynamics, late‐winter DO remains poorly documented due to inherent dangers of sampling on thin ice.
