This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Assessment of smoke plume height products derived from multisource satellite observations using lidar-derived height metrics for wildfires in the western US [PDF]
As wildfires intensify and fire seasons lengthen across the western US, the development of models that can predict smoke plume concentrations and track wildfire-induced air pollution exposures has become critical.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Numerical Simulations of Plume Rise [PDF]
Results from a numerical plume rise and dispersion model are presented in a way analogous to the much used empirical equation of Briggs to determine plume rise under a wide variety of combinations of plume temperature, plume exit velocity and wind speed.

Dynamic compression enhances mesenchymal stromal cell proliferation in nonwoven PET scaffolds under chondrogenic differentiation conditions and triggers mechanosensitive transcriptional programs associated with extracellular matrix remodeling. These findings highlight the potential of mechanically stimulated PET scaffolds as a promising platform for ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Influence of plume rise parameterization on odor impact assessment: A case study of open biofilters
Advances in odor impact assessment increasingly rely on accurate atmospheric dispersion modelling. In this context, odor emissions from open biofilters are commonly modelled as non-buoyant area sources, implicitly neglecting plume rise effects.
