The paper considers an infinite tandem of \( \cdot\)/GI/1 queues. Denote by \(S(n,k)\) the service time of the \(n\)th customer at the \(k\)th node. It is assumed that \(S(n,k)\) are independent, have common distribution \(\sigma \) which is not concentrated at 1, and \(ES(1,1) = 1\).
