Pointing-Error Correction of Optical Communication Terminals on Motion Platforms Based on a K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
High-precision pointing is a key technology in free-space optical communication, as it improves the acquisition probability and reduces the acquisition time.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

An automated method for the evaluation of the pointing accuracy of Sun-tracking devices [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2017
The accuracy of solar radiation measurements, for direct (DIR) and diffuse (DIF) radiation, depends significantly on the precision of the operational Sun-tracking device.

Disturbance Attenuation and Pointing Control System Design for an Improved Disturbance-Free Payload Spacecraft

open access: yesAerospace, 2023
The low-frequency disturbances transmitted by flexible cables are difficult to be attenuated for a novel disturbance-free payload spacecraft, which decreases the payload’s pointing accuracy and stability.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Radiative closure tests of collocated hyperspectral microwave and infrared radiometers [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques
Temperature and water vapor profiles are essential to climate change studies and weather forecasting. Hyperspectral instruments are of great value for retrieving temperature and water vapor profiles, enabling accurate monitoring of their changes ...

On Orbit Demonstration of Pointing Accuracy of Ground Antennas by a Flying GEO Satellite

open access: yesSakarya University Journal of Computer and Information Sciences, 2023
Geostationary Satellites (GEO) are being used commonly in communication market. The service providers uplink or downlink the signal by using their dedicated antennas (whether with or without tracking capability) to the GEO satellite.

Accuracy measures for evaluating computer pointing devices [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2001
In view of the difficulties in evaluating computer pointing devices across different tasks within dynamic and complex systems, new performance measures are needed. This paper proposes seven new accuracy measures to elicit (sometimes subtle) differences among devices in precision pointing tasks.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...
