A Mixed Distribution Model of Pointing Error of Aircraft

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
In the space exploration mission, the aircraft will be affected by mechanical shocks, tracking noise and other factors to cause angular micro-vibration, so that the antenna pointing error is always non-zero, which will affect the communication link ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A Novel Online Estimation and Compensation Method for Strapdown Phased Array Seeker Disturbance Rejection Effect Using Extended State Kalman Filter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The radome error and beam pointing error found commonly in the strapdown phased array radar seeker can cause coupling between the missile body motion and the seeker model, impacting the output precision of the seeker and causing the disturbance rejection

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On Effective Secrecy Throughput of Underlay Spectrum Sharing $\alpha -\mu$/ Málaga Hybrid Model Under Interference-and-Transmit Power Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
The underlay cognitive radio-based hybrid radio frequency/free-space optical (RF/FSO) systems have emerged as a promising technology due to their ability to eliminate spectrum scarcity and spectrum under-utilization problems.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Mixed FSO/RF Based Multiple HAPs Assisted Multiuser Multiantenna Terrestrial Communication

open access: yesFrontiers in Communications and Networks, 2022
In this work, a mixed free-space optics (FSO)/radio-frequency (RF) based multiple serial high altitude platforms (HAPs) assisted multiuser multiantenna terrestrial communication system is considered.
