Polarization conversion in the caviton driven by linearly polarized lasers

Physical Review E, 2022
In one-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations of a plasma irradiated by linearly polarized lasers from both sides of boundaries, it is found that there is an appreciable growth of the electromagnetic field in cavitons in the transverse direction perpendicular to the direction of polarization, which indicates the polarization conversion of the ...

Polarization conversion from diffraction gratings

Physical Review B, 1991
If a surface-modulated diffraction grating is arranged so that the scattering vector does not lie in the plane of incidence of the illuminating radiation, then polarization conversion can occur. This conversion can be strongly enhanced if a surface mode, such as a surface-plasmon-polariton or guided mode, is excited at the grating surface.

Electromagnetically induced polarization conversion

Optics Communications, 2012
Abstract Electromagnetically induced transparency and polarization conversion due to interference between two polarization-selective plasmonic resonances coexisting in the same planar metamaterial are studied. The metasurface represents a periodic array of two topologically distinct metamolecules combined on the same substrate: i ) monopole antennas
