Delivering Dual Polarization-Division-Multiplexing Millimeter-Wave Signals at W-Band by One Pair of Antennas [PDF]

open access: goldIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel seamless fiber-wireless-integration system (FWI) to deliver up to 120-Gb/s (9~15-Gbaud) polarization-division-multiplexing 16-ary quadrature-amplitude-modulation (PDM-16QAM)/40-Gb/s (5~12-Gbaud ...

A 40 Gb/s duty-cycle/polarization division multiplexing system [PDF]

open access: yes2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE), 2017
Ever increasing demand for higher bandwidth and capacity requests more efficient multiplexing techniques. To increase supportable subscribers in networks, hybrid fiber optic systems have been proposed lately.

Mitigation of Polarization-Induced Fading in Optical Vector Network Analyzer for the Characterization of km-scale Space-Division Multiplexing Fibers [PDF]

open access: greenarXiv
We propose an optimized optical vector network analyzer with automatic polarization control to stabilize the reference arm polarization throughout the sweep range. We demonstrate this technique, successfully removing the polarization-induced fading and measurement distortions in insertion loss by characterizing a 10 km multi-core fiber.

Dual Polarization Nonlinear Frequency Division Multiplexing Transmission [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2018
We experimentally demonstrate dual-polarization nonlinear frequency division multiplexing (NFDM) using the continuous spectrum in 1680 km of normal dispersion fiber, at the net data rate of 25.6 Gb/s. NFDM exhibits a gain of 0.4 dB in $Q$ -factor and 1 dB in total launch power when compared with burst mode OFDM.

Experimental Demonstration of Dual Polarization Nonlinear Frequency Division Multiplexed Optical Transmission System [PDF]

open access: greenarXiv, 2017
Multi-eigenvalues transmission with information encoded simultaneously in both orthogonal polarizations is experimentally demonstrated. Performance below the HD-FEC limit is demonstrated for 8-bits/symbol 1-GBd signals after transmission up to 207 km of SSMF.

All-Optical Signal Regeneration in Polarization-Division-Multiplexing Systems

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2011
Schemes of all-optical regeneration in polarization-division-multiplexing (PDM) systems are proposed and demonstrated with 2 × 10-Gb/s return-to-zero on-off-keying (RZ-OOK) transmission. Regeneration is achieved based on self-phase-modulation (SPM)
