Configuring Polarization Singularity Array Composed of C-Point Pairs

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
The generation and topological configuration of double-layered polarization singularity array (PSA) having paired C-points of opposite topological index through superposing three Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) component beams with orthogonal linear polarization ...

Renormalon Singularities of the QCD Vacuum Polarization Function to Leading Order in $1/N_{f}$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We explicitly determine the residues and orders of all the ultra-violet (UV) and infra-red (IR) renormalon poles in the Borel plane for the QCD vacuum polarization function (Adler D-function), to leading order in an expansion in the number of quark ...

Focused polarization ellipse field singularities: interaction of spin-orbital angular momentum and the formation of optical Möbius strips

open access: yesPhysica Scripta, 2023
We study here the intensity distribution and formation of optical polarization Möbius strips by tightly focusing of C-point singularity beams. These beams are characterized by a central circular polarization point (C-point) surrounded by a spatially ...

Curvature-induced Resolution of Anti-brane Singularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study AdS$_7$ vacua of massive type IIA string theory compactified on a 3-sphere with $H_3$ flux and anti-D6-branes. In such backgrounds, the anti-brane backreaction is known to generate a singularity in the $H_3$ energy density, whose interpretation ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

A characterization of finite quotients of Abelian varieties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we prove a characterization of quotients of Abelian varieties by the actions of finite groups that are free in codimension-one via some vanishing conditions on the orbifold Chern classes.

Polarization singularities of biological tissues images

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Optics, 2006
The ways to the polarization singularities of the biological tissues images of various morphological structures have been theoretically analyzed. The coordinate distributions of singly (linear states of polarization) and doubly degenerated (circular states of polarization) polarization singularities of the physiologically normal and pathologically ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

A prescription for projectors to compute helicity amplitudes in D dimensions

open access: yes, 2021
This article discusses a prescription to compute polarized dimensionally regularized amplitudes, providing a recipe for constructing simple and general polarized amplitude projectors in D dimensions that avoids conventional Lorentz tensor decomposition ...
