Precise Electroweak Measurements at the Z0 Pole

open access: yes, 1999
Over the last decade, precise LEP and SLC measurements of electroweak coupling parameters at the Z0 pole have lead to tests of the Standard Model to unprecedented precision. This report presents a comprehensive review of these studies, including a review

S-wave $\pi^0$ Production in pp Collision in a Covariant OBE Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The total cross section for the pp -> pp pi^0 reaction at energies close to threshold is calculated using a covariant one-boson-exchange model, where a boson B created on one of the incoming protons is converted into a neutral pion on the second.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Omega transition accompanied by mechanically-induced twinned martensite

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
We present here an analysis on omega transition process during martensitic transformation. Martensitic transformation occurred during deformation at room temperature, avoiding the influence of auto-tempering on metastable omega phase.

K-Band Galaxy Counts in the South Galactic Pole Region [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
We present new K-band galaxy number counts from K=13 to 20.5 obtained from $K'$-band surveys in the south galactic pole region, which cover 180.8 arcmin$^2$ to a limiting magnitude of K=19, and 2.21 arcmin$^2$ to K=21.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Study of EBSD Experiment Parameters Influence on Computation of Polycrystalline Pole Figures and Orientation Distribution Function

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Mathematical model for a polycrystalline specimen and EBSD experiment is proposed. As the measurement parameters, the scanning step and the threshold disorientation angle are considered.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

An improved study of the kappa resonance and the non-exotic $s$ wave $\pi K$ scatterings up to $\sqrt{s}=2.1$GeV of LASS data

open access: yes, 2006
We point out that the dispersion relation for the left hand cut integral presented in one of our previous paper (Nucl. Phys. {\bf A}733(2004)235) is actually free of subtraction constant, even for unequal mass elastic scatterings.

Bound, virtual and resonance $S$-matrix poles from the Schr\"odinger equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A general method, which we call the potential $S$-matrix pole method, is developed for obtaining the $S$-matrix pole parameters for bound, virtual and resonant states based on numerical solutions of the Schr\"odinger equation.
