POLINSAR data processing with RAT

2005
Polarimetric SAR Interferometry (PolInSAR) is an up–to–date research topic in SAR image data processing. This field undergoes extensive development and as of now no software is publicly available. This paper summarizes the first effortstaken to include PolInSAR data handling in the RAT (Radar Tools) framework.

Improved retrieval algorithm of tree height by POLINSAR

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
Tree height is an important biophysical parameter. It is a need for forest and biomass map for the estimation of carbon budget. Polarimetric SAR interferometry (PolInSAR) has been applied successfully to retrieve biophysical parameters from forest areas.

Coherence Optimization Using the Polarization State Conformation in PolInSAR

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2005
A new coherence optimization algorithm is proposed for polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry applications by using the polarization state conformation algorithm based on the polarimetric basis transformation along with the polarization signatures.

Coherence dependency of the PALSAR POLinSAR on forest in japan and amazon

2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007
PALSAR PolInSAR capability was evaluated. One of the important capabilities that the PolInSAR offers is to estimate the forest height. For one-year and more months after the launch of the ALOS on Jan. 24 2006, PLASAR observed several test areas using the polarimetry modes repeatedly.

POLInSAR regularisation using dual frequency interferometry

2003 Proceedings of the International Conference on Radar (IEEE Cat. No.03EX695), 2004
In this paper, we employ a two-level coherent polarimetric vegetation scattering model to investigate forest parameter estimation using fully polarimetric single baseline radar interferometry. It is shown that model inversion requires regularisation to remove multiple solutions.
