Polioencephalomalacia associated with water deprivation in cattle.
The Cornell veterinarian, 1980The water supply of 500 yearling steers was restricted for approximately 48 hours and several of the animals died or developed neurologic signs. Two steers necropsied had deep laminar cerebrocortical malacia. These lesions appear to be an uncommon consequence of water deprivation in cattle.
