Exciton localization in disordered poly(3-hexylthiophene)
Singlet exciton localization in conformationally disordered poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) is investigated via configuration interaction (singles) calculations of the Pariser–Parr–Pople model. The P3HT structures are generated by molecular dynamics simulations. The lowest-lying excitons are spatially localized, space filling, and nonoverlapping.

Controlled growth mechanism of poly (3-hexylthiophene) nanowires [PDF]
Synthesis of 1D-polymer nanowires by a self-assembly method using marginal solvents is an attractive technique. While the formation mechanism is poorly understood, this method is essential in order to control the growth of nanowires. Here we visualized the time-dependent assembly of poly (3-hexyl-thiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) nanowires by atomic force ...

Piezoresistance of Poly(3‐Hexylthiophene) Film [PDF]
AbstractThe piezoresistive devices with the structure of ITO/poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT; spin coating 90 nm film)/Al (75 nm) have been fabricated and measured. We measured the I‐V characteristics of the devices under different stresses. The stress ranges from 0 to 510 kPa and the voltage ranges from 0 to 5 V.

Dynamic Microscopy Study of Ultrafast Charge Transfer in a Hybrid P3HT/Hyperbranched CdSe Nanoparticle Blend for Photovoltaics [PDF]
We present a spectroscopic investigation on a new hyperbranched cadmium selenide nanocrystals (CdSe NC)/poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) blend, a potentially good active component in hybrid photovoltaics. Combined ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy

Organocatalyzed polymerization of diblock copolymer based on poly(3-hexylthiophene) and poly(furfurylmethacrylate) [PDF]
A novel conjugated rod–coil diblock copolymer poly(3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(furfuryl methacrylate) (P3HT-b-PFMA) has been successfully synthesized for the first time using photoinduced organocatalyzed atom transfer radical polymerization (O-ATRP ...

Crystallization of Poly(3-hexylthiophene) Nanofiber in a Narrow Groove [PDF]
Whisker-type poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) nanofibers were aligned by restricting their growth direction using an approximately 100–1000 nm wide narrow groove fabricated by thermal nanoimprinting. In grooves made of an amorphous fluoropolymer (CYTOP™) with widths of less than 1500 nm, the nanofibers oriented uniaxially perpendicular to the ...
