Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

DPAC: A Tool for Differential Poly(A)–Cluster Usage from Poly(A)–Targeted RNAseq Data

open access: yesG3: Genes, Genomes, Genetics, 2019
Poly(A)-tail targeted RNAseq approaches, such as 3′READS, PAS-Seq and Poly(A)-ClickSeq, are becoming popular alternatives to random-primed RNAseq to focus sequencing reads just to the 3′ ends of polyadenylated RNAs to identify poly(A)-sites and ...

Ending the message: poly(A) signals then and now.

open access: yesGenes & Development, 2011
Polyadenylation [poly(A)] signals (PAS) are a defining feature of eukaryotic protein-coding genes. The central sequence motif AAUAAA was identified in the mid-1970s and subsequently shown to require flanking, auxiliary elements for both 3'-end cleavage ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Mice lacking two testis-specific cytoplasmic poly(A)-binding proteins, PABPC2 and PABPC6, exhibit normal spermatogenesis and fertility

open access: yesThe Journal of Reproduction and Development
The cytoplasmic poly(A)-binding protein (PABPC) plays a central role in the life of poly(A) mRNAs, including their stability, translation, and decay. In addition to the nearly ubiquitous PABPC1, two testis-specific PABPCs, PABPC2 and PABPC6, are present ...

Construction of Sensitive Amperometric Immunosensor Based on Poly(amidoamine) Dendrimer and One-step Ionic-liquid-assisted Graphene/Chitosan Platform for Benzo[a]pyrene Detection

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
A novel electrochemical immunosensor was proposed using a poly(amidoamine) dendrimer (PAMAM) modified ionic-liquid-assisted graphene sheets-doped chitosan (GS-CS) hybrid matrix as platform, which were characterized by cyclic voltammograms and scanning ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
