Macrospherulites of poly(ethylene oxide)
Journal of Chemical Education, 1973Using lower molecular weight, linear polymers of ethylene oxide such as the Carbowaxes together with higher weight species of poly(ethylene oxide), many of the features of high polymer crystalline ...

Poly(ethylene oxide) in solution
Journal of Polymer Science, 1962AbstractMeasurements of the limiting viscosity number and dipole moments in benzene at 25°C. have been performed on carefully fractionated low molecular weight poly(ethyleneoxide) (M.W. ranging from 194 to 7770). The results of these measurements have been related to some hypotheses on the structure of molecules in the dissolved state. We have realized

The amphiphilic character of triblock-copolymers made of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(propylene oxide) (PPO) changes substantially as a function of temperature. This leads to interesting phase behaviour when the block-copolymers are dissolved in water: micelle formation above a critical temperature and critical concentration, and an apparent ...

Degradation of poly(ethylene oxide)
Journal of Polymer Science, 1960AbstractThe degradation of high polymers of ethylene oxide in aqueous and organic solutions is accelerated by strong acids, certain oxidizing agents, ultraviolet light, and certain heavy metal ions. The effectiveness of the latter two components is related to the solution stability of various polymer samples upon long‐term, natural aging.
