High-order harmonic generation by polyatomic molecules [PDF]
We present a theory of high-order harmonic generation by arbitrary polyatomic molecules based on the molecular strong-field approximation (MSFA) in the framework of the S-matrix theory.

Scattering kernel for polyatomic molecules [PDF]
A polyatomic scattering kernel phenomenologically presented in a previous article is derived from an integral operator formulation. The five parameters involved in the scattering kernel expression are shown to be equal to the accommodation coefficients ...

Ultracold collisions of polyatomic molecules: CaOH
Ultracold collisions of the polyatomic species CaOH are considered, in internal states where the collisions should be dominated by long-range dipole–dipole interactions.

Rotational Cooling of Trapped Polyatomic Molecules [PDF]
Controlling the internal degrees of freedom is a key challenge for applications of cold and ultracold molecules. Here, we demonstrate rotational-state cooling of trapped methyl fluoride molecules (CH3F) by optically pumping the population of 16 M-sublevels in the rotational states J=3,4,5, and 6 into a single level.

Vibrational Relaxation Dynamics of Polyatomic Molecules in Solution
Ultrafast time-resolved fluorescence measurements have been carried out to investigate vibrational relaxation dynamics of perylene derivatives in solution. The early results obtained with cyanoperylene in acetonitrile are presented and discussed.

Rotational state detection of electrically trapped polyatomic molecules
Detecting the internal state of polar molecules is a substantial challenge when standard techniques such as resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization or laser-induced fluorescense do not work.

Probing multiphoton light-induced molecular potentials
Conical intersections, a hallmark of polyatomic molecules, can be induced with light, leading to new reaction pathways. Here, the authors show that intense fields can create complex, beyond-conical intersections even in diatomics, resulting in an ...

A Fifth-order Multi-perturbation Derivation of the Energy Coefficients of Polyatomic Molecules [PDF]
A multiperturbation theory has been developed for molecular systems. In the present paper we extend this theory to fifth order in the energy. The "bare-nucleus" hydrogenic function is chosen as the zero-order wave function rather than the more customary ...
