Coherent Stokes Raman Scattering for Simultaneous Measurement of CO2 and CH4 Temperatures

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
A three‐beam hybrid fs/ps CSRS method is employed to excite the rovibrational transitions in the Fermi‐dyad of CO2$$ {}_2 $$ and the v2$$ {v}_2 $$ mode of CH4$$ {}_4 $$. Time‐domain spectroscopic models are developed to extract the fuel and flame temperature profiles from experimental CH4$$ {}_4 $$ and CO2$$ {}_2 $$ spectra in a diffusion flame ...

Study of HgOH to Assess Its Suitability for Electron Electric Dipole Moment Searches

open access: yesAtoms, 2021
In search of suitable molecular candidates for probing the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the electron (de), a property that arises due to parity and time-reversal violating (P,T-odd) interactions, we consider the triatomic mercury hydroxide (HgOH ...

Exploding Bridgewire (EBW) Detonators: An Example of Synergistic Multiphysics

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Exploding bridgewire (EBW) detonators are highly temporally reproducible explosive devices that require the rapid discharge of a high‐voltage capacitance to operate and so are immune to most of the accidental hazards associated with traditional electric detonators.

Reactivity of Oxidized Porous Silicon with Calcium Ion in Aqueous Media: Stability, pH Behavior, and Host‐Guest Strategies

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Oxidized porous silicon, composed of an elemental silicon porous skeleton coated with a silica shell, reacts with aqueous Ca2+ to generate a mixed silica–calcium silicate matrix that is remarkably efficient at trapping small molecules. With an emphasis on the engineering of controlled‐release drug delivery systems, this study identifies the factors ...

Electronic Predetermination of Ethylene Fragmentation Dynamics

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2014
We experimentally investigate the dependence of the fragmentation behavior of the ethylene dication on the intensity and duration of the laser pulses that initiate the fragmentation dynamics by strong-field double ionization.

Combined Effects of Arsenic and Cadmium With Selenium on Oxidative Stress Indicators in Goldfish: Implications for Veterinary Toxicology

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Co‐exposure to arsenic and cadmium alters metal accumulation and oxidative stress in goldfish. Selenium reduces arsenic bioaccumulation and lipid peroxidation while enhancing antioxidant defences. Findings highlight metal‐specific interactions, with selenium offering partial protection, emphasizing ecological risks and the importance of monitoring ...

First-principles quantum dynamical theory for the dissociative chemisorption of H2O on rigid Cu(111)

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Dissociative chemisorption dynamics of polyatomic molecules on surfaces are still challenging to probe quantitatively. Here, the authors report the 9-dimensional quantum dynamics of H2O dissociative chemisorption on Cu(111), with the highest level of ...

Structure data of free polyatomic molecules

open access: yes, 2019
This handbook presents structural data on free polyatomic molecules. Since the structure of molecules defines the chemical, physical and biological properties of matter, this information is crucial for understanding, explaining and predicting chemical ...

Curvature‐Tuned Friction at Electrified Ionic Liquid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 46, 8 June 2026.
Graphene curvature plays a key role in friction electrotunability at single‐asperity contacts lubricated by ionic liquids. A 9 nm radius yields stronger tunability than larger radii, with distinct friction coefficients at low and high loads indicating a shift in the slippage plane.
