Much of our intuition about strong-field processes is built upon studies of diatomic molecules, which typically have electronic states that are relatively well separated in energy.

Multiscale perspectives on how excess charges in soft lead halide perovskites induce operational instability in photovoltaic devices are presented. Localized carriers formed under thermodynamic non‐equilibrium states modify atomistic interactions and drive lattice distortions, accelerating device degradation.

This study explores the origins of life by linking prebiotic chemistry, the emergence of information‐carrying molecules such as RNA and proteins, and philosophical questions about consciousness. The study emphasizes the role of molecular evolution in the Central Dogma and provides insights into the chemical origins of biology and the basis of life's ...

Coulomb explosion imaging of small polyatomic molecules with ultrashort x-ray pulses
Ultrashort x-ray pulses from free-electron lasers can efficiently charge up and trigger the full fragmentation of molecules. By coincident detection of up to five ions resulting from rapid Coulomb explosion of highly charged iodomethane, we show that the

Experimental Study of Cs Isotropic and Anisotropic Polyatomic Rydberg Molecules [PDF]
In this thesis, we investigate few-body physics and many-body physics of ultralong-range Rydberg molecules. Ultralong-range Rydberg molecules are formed through scattering processes between Rydberg electrons and ground state atoms.

Polyatomic molecules in late-type stars. [PDF]
Some general problems connected with the presence of polyatomic molecules in stellar atmospheres are noted, and, in particular, reasons are advanced in favor of attributing at least part of the intensity drop and fluctuations in the spectra of the N-type

Achievement of Transition Metal Chalcogenides/Oxides in Hydrogen Production by Seawater Electrolysis
Transition metal chalcogenides (TMCs)/oxides have shown great application potential in seawater splitting for hydrogen generation due to their adjustable electronic properties, abundant active sites, and excellent catalytic performance. ABSTRACT Under the impetus of global “dual carbon” goals, green hydrogen has become a key component of the future ...

Laser-cooled polyatomic molecules for improved electron electric dipole moment searches
Doppler and Sisyphus cooling of ^174 YbOH are achieved and studied. This polyatomic molecule has high sensitivity to physics beyond the Standard Model and represents a new class of species for future high-precision probes of new T-violating physics.

Unified master equation for molecules in phonon and radiation baths
We have developed a unified quantum optical master equation that includes the dissipative mechanisms of an impurity molecule in crystals. Our theory applies generally to polyatomic molecules where several vibrational modes give rise to intramolecular ...

An optical tweezer array of ultracold polyatomic molecules
Polyatomic molecules have rich structural features that make them uniquely suited to applications in quantum information science, quantum simulation, ultracold chemistry, and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
