Effect of polydeoxyribonucleotides on human fibroblasts in primary culture

Cell Biochemistry and Function, 1999
The effects of a mixture of oligo- and polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) on the growth and protein secretion of cultured human skin fibroblasts were investigated. Both intact and DNAase-digested PDRN stimulated cell proliferation to a similar extent.

Anti-cancer activity of ultra-short single-stranded polydeoxyribonucleotides

Investigational New Drugs, 2023
One of the features that differentiate cancer cells is their increased proliferation rate, which creates an opportunity for general anti-tumor therapy directed against the elevated activity of replicative apparatus in tumor cells. Besides DNA synthesis, successful genome replication requires the reparation of the newly synthesized DNA.

Viscoelastic interactions between polydeoxyribonucleotide and ophthalmic excipients

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2015
This study investigated the interaction between polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) and several ionic and nonionic isotonic agents, thickeners and a preservative that were employed as excipients in ophthalmic preparations. Interaction of each individual excipient and PDRN aqueous solution was evaluated by analyzing their rheological properties.

The synthesis of 5′ thioanalogs of polydeoxyribonucleotides

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1970
Abstract Oligo 5′-thiodeoxythymidylates and oligo 5′-thiodeoxyadenylates were prepared via displacement of tosylates by thiophosphate mono- and diesters. The 5′ ends contain O-tosyl or S-phosphoryl groups, while the 3′ ends terminate in deoxythymidine.

Polydeoxyribonucleotide Treatment in Genital Lichen Sclerosus in Males

Urologia Internationalis, 2016
It has been reported that treatment with polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) in males affected by lichen sclerosus significantly improves the overall conditions of treated patients. It confirms that PDRN has a potent cytoprotective action as in other pathological conditions.

Effect of Polydeoxyribonucleotide on Chondrocutaneous Composite Grafts Survival

Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2019
A composite graft is considered the best choice for facial reconstruction because of proper texture, color, and simple surgical techniques. However, due to revascularization by the bridging phenomenon, it has limitations with unpredictable survival rates and can be applied only to small defects. Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) plays an important role in

Thienocoumarin derivatives: interaction with nucleic acids and synthetic polydeoxyribonucleotides

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B: Biology, 2000
This paper reports the photobiological properties of two new thienocoumarins, 4,6,9-trimethyl-2H-thieno[3,2-g]-1-benzopyran-2-one (compound I) and the 6,9-dimethyl-4-methoxymethyl-2H-thieno[3,2-g]-1-benzopyran-2-one (compound II). Cell growth inhibition studies have revealed significant antiproliferative potency on human tumor cell lines.

Polydeoxyribonucleotides Antagonize Nucleoside Analogues in Cancer Therapy.

Blood, 2006
Abstract Background: In the past years, an increasing number of nucleic acid based drug candidates (e.g. antisense oligonucleotides, aptamers, ribozymes, RNA interference) have been identified and already tested in clinical trials.
