Thermally Bistable Stiff Stilbene Photoswitches and Polymer Applications
The Chemical Record, Volume 26, Issue 6, June 2026.Thermally stable photoswitches offer new opportunities for controlling polymer structures and functions under nonequilibrium conditions. This Personal Account highlights stiff stilbene (SS) and sterically hindered stiff stilbene (HSS) photoswitches, which combine large structural changes with exceptional thermal bistability.
