Modified polyethersulfone membranes

Abstract Asymmetric polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membranes were prepared and modified by electron irradiation in various environments with different doses, and also by subsequent grafting with hydrophilic vinyl monomers. Significant changes were observed in the performance of the modified membranes.

AbstractThermosetting mechanism of paint‐use polyethersulfones was studied by utilizing FTIR/PAS and ESCA. As a result, it was confirmed that the oxygen in the air has an effect on the thermosetting mechanism. That is, the polyethersulfone film were baked from the surface, and proceeded according to reaction (4).
