Fast Ion Transport Pathway Provided by Polyethylene Glycol Confined in Covalent Organic Frameworks.
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with well-tailored channels are able to accommodate ions and offer their conduction pathway. However, due to strong Coulombic interaction and the lack of transport medium, directly including lithium salts into the ...

Purification and characterization of polyethylene glycol dehydrogenase involved in the bacterial metabolism of polyethylene glycol [PDF]
Polyethylene glycol (PEG) dehydrogenase in crude extracts of a PEG 20,000-utilizing mixed culture was purified 24 times by precipitation with ammonium sulfate, solubilization with laurylbetaine, and chromatography with diethylamino-ethyl-cellulose, hydroxylapatite, and Sephadex G-200.

Regulating Protein Immobilization During Cell‐Free Protein Synthesis in Hyaluronan Microgels
Bifunctional microgels carrying a linear DNA template and Ni2+‐activated NTA moieties are used as platform for cell‐free protein synthesis and in situ protein immobilization. By varying the concentration of NTA moieties in the microgels, the amount of GFP‐His immobilized inside the microgel and released to the microgel environment can be regulated ...

Non-specific cellular uptake of surface-functionalized quantum dots [PDF]
We report a systematic empirical study of nanoparticle internalization into cells via non-specific pathways. The nanoparticles were comprised of commercial quantum dots (QDs) that were highly visible under a fluorescence confocal microscope. Surface-modified QDs with basic biologically-significant moieties, e.g. carboxyl, amino, streptavidin were used,

Effect of microstructure on polymer chain dynamics in polyethylene glycol solutions [PDF]
Effect of microstructures and interactions on segmental dynamics in polyethylene glycol (PEG) solution in water is probed with macro-scale oscillatory rheology and micro-scale diffusion of a fluorescent probe. PEG solution fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) curves have immobile fractions which increase with PEG concentration, for PEG ...

Crowding effect on helix-coil transition: beyond entropic stabilization [PDF]
We report circular dichroism measurements on the helix-coil transition of poly(L-glutamic acid) in solution with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a crowding agent. Using small angle neutron scattering, PEG solutions have been characterized and found to be well described by the picture of a transient network of mesh size $\xi$, usual for semi-diluted chains

This article critically reviews the recent advances in the development of nanomaterial‐based inks derived from 2D nanomaterials and how the addition of 2D nanomaterials alters the rheology of different polymers for 3D printing. The review further explores the application of 3D‐printed structures in the electronics, sensor, and energy sectors.
