Bacteriophage Precipitation with Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Abstract This protocol can be employed to both purify and concentrate bacteriophages (phages) after their production. As a hygroscopic substance, polyethylene glycol in combination with its co-precipitant sodium chloride binds water molecules leading to the precipitation of the phages.
