Osteoproperties of polyethylene glycol hydrogel material
Aim The aim of the present study was to test the osteogenic potential of a synthetic hydrogel made of polyethylene glycol (PEG), loaded with adult mesenchymal stem cells, used as a biodegradable membrane for guided bone regeneration (GBR). Materials and methods Adult mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue (ADSCs) were isolated ...

Cavitation erosion of polyethylene and chloroprene rubber for liners
Resin lining is widely used as an anti-corrosion method for steel pipes. Since cavitation sometimes occurs near valves in piping system, it is necessary to consider not only the corrosion resistance but also the erosion resistance.

Conduction in linear low density polyethylene nanodielectric materials [PDF]
Nanodielectrics have been extensively researched in recent years with the expectation that they may enhance electrical performance. In this paper we have studied the electrical conduction processes in linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) filled with nano alumina particles. The electrical conduction was measured at various applied electric fields. It

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
