Dimensional analysis of total hip arthroplasty polyethylenes
Objective: This paper performs a dimensional analysis of different total hip arthroplasty polyethylenes, cemented and non-cemented, Brazilian made and imported. Methods: It was considered acetabular components with 50 mm for the 28 mm femoral heads.

Functional Polyethylenes by Organometallic-Mediated Radical Polymerization of Biobased Carbonates [PDF]
peer reviewedPartly or fully renewable (co)polymers are gaining interest in both academia and industry. Polyethylene is a widely used polymer, classically derived from fossil fuels, with a high versatility stemming from the introduction of comonomers ...

Study on bonding ability of melt-spun polypropylene/polyethylene blend fibers
This article investigates melt spinning of polypropylene (PP) with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) blend fibers at different compositions, as well as the effects of HDPE and LLDPE on the bonding ability of ...

Some aspects of structural electrophysics of irradiated polyethylenes
In the case of the insulation polymeric materials, such as polyethylenes, it is of essential interest to understand correlations between structural changes and (di)electric properties.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

EFFECT OF POLYETHYLENE MOLECULAR MASS CHARACTERISTICS ON SLIP EFFECT
The rheological properties of polyethylene with different molecular weight characteristics were studied. Difference of molecular weight characteristics was found on the basis of melt flow index, and slip effect in the molten polyethylene flow was studied.
