The Hantzsch reaction in polymer chemistry: synthesis and tentative application

open access: yes, 2017
The Hantzsch reaction, one of the oldest and most famous multicomponent reactions (MCRs), has been introduced into polymer chemistry recently as an efficient coupling tool to prepare multifunctional polymers.

Evaluation of KRAS and NRAS mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer: an 8‐year study of 10 754 patients in Turkey

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This nationwide study evaluated KRAS and NRAS mutations in 10 754 Turkish patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. The results revealed a mutation frequency of 51.1%, with 46.6% having KRAS mutations, 4.5% having NRAS mutations, and 48.5% being wild‐type for both.

Determination of The Active Asiaticoside Content in Centella asiatica as Anti-Cellulite Agent

open access: yesISCC (Indonesian Journal of Cancer Chemoprevention), 2011
Centella asiatica accumulates large quantities of pentacyclic triterpenoid saponins, collectively known as centelloids. These terpenoids include asiaticoside, centelloside, madecassoside, brahmoside, brahminoside, thankuniside, sceffoleoside, centellose,

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.

Gini means and its applications in polymer chemistry [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Education (Matematicheskoe Prosveschenie), 3rd Series, 2016, vol. 20, P. 139-146, (in Russian), 2016
We consider Gini means with short biographical information and propose a new proof of the main inequality for these means. Also some applications of Gini and other means are considered to polymer chemistry.

Molecular imaging predicts trastuzumab‐deruxtecan (T‐DXd) response in head and neck cancer xenograft models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Trastuzumab‐deruxtecan, a HER2‐targeting antibody‐drug conjugate, shows promising antitumor activity in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with low HER2 expression. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated dose‐dependent cell death and tumor growth reduction in low HER2‐expressing cell lines, which correlated with drug accumulation measured using a
