Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...

334 RESTRICTION FRAGMENT LENGTH POLYMORPHISM IN CARROT [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1994
Studies of genetic variation at the DNA level in the genus Daucus have been very limited. Molecular markers based on restriction fragment length polymorphism (RPLP) have been shown to be highly useful and efficient gene markers in other plant species. We have used a total of 20 carrot types (inbreds, varieties, species) for this study.

Detection and characterization of Rickettsial strains in ticks from Sardinia, Italy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The aim of this study was, firstly, to detect the presence of Rickettsial DNA by PCR and, then, to identify the Rickettsiae species using restriction endonuclease fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) on two amplified ...

RFLP of 16S-ITS rDNA region to differentiate Lactobacilli at species level [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The 16S-ITS (internal transcribed spacer) region of the rrn operon was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The amplification products were analysed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) using a set of restriction enzymes, AluI ...

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Inferring Species Trees Directly from Biallelic Genetic Markers: Bypassing Gene Trees in a Full Coalescent Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The multi-species coalescent provides an elegant theoretical framework for estimating species trees and species demographics from genetic markers. Practical applications of the multi-species coalescent model are, however, limited by the need to integrate or sample over all gene trees possible for each genetic marker.

Meat molecular detection: sensitivity of polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism in species differentiation of meat from animal origin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Three restriction enzymes were used in Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) using the mitochondrial cytochrome b region to establish a differential diagnosis which detect and discriminate between three meat ...

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

A cost effective RFLP method to genotype Solute carrier organic anion 1B1 (SLCO1B1) c.1929A>C (p.Leu643Phe, rs34671512); a variant with potential effect on rosuvastatin pharmacokinetics

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2018
Objective This study describes a restriction fragment polymorphism protocol for rapidly screening the polymorphism SLCO1B1 c.1929A>C in genomic DNA samples.

Genetic Analysis of Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphisms in Vitis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Heredity, 1992
The parents and progeny from two crosses (Cayuga White x Aurore and NY62.136.2 x Yates) were examined for the presence of DNA restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs). Seventeen independent DNA sequences were used in the analysis, 15 obtained from a grape Pstl genomic library and two heterologous probes obtained from other laboratories.
