Soft and Strong: Elastic Conductors with Bio‐Inspired Self‐Protection
A general reverse‐engineering approach is demonstrated for designing functional yarns that uses woven fabric architecture as a structural framework. The fabric‐based stretchable conductive yarns combine flexibility, high elasticity, low stiffness, self‐protection, and weavability with conventional textile processes. By fine‐tuning the number of elastic

Moth‐Wing‐Inspired Multifunctional Metamaterials
This study develops a moth‐wing‐inspired heterogeneous metamaterial that achieves synergistic broadband sound absorption, mechanical energy dissipation, and thermal insulation within a lightweight architected framework. Combining bioinspired gradient design, genetic‐algorithm optimization, and additive manufacturing, the bionic heterogeneous acoustic ...

Polynomial maps and polynomial sequences in groups
Abstract This paper presents a modified version of Leibman’s group-theoretic generalizations of the difference calculus for polynomial maps from nonempty commutative semigroups to groups, and proves that it has many desirable formal properties when the target group is locally nilpotent and also when the semigroup is the set of ...

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.

Preparation of Model Surfaces to Mimic Porous Cellulose Structures
This study presents 2D ultrathin nanocellulose model surfaces that mimic porous cellulose materials. The surfaces are prepared via a sacrificial templating approach, by spin coating nanocellulose and polystyrene nanoparticles suspension on a substrate, followed by nanoparticle removal.
