Polynomial identities of incidence algebras [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1976
In this paper we determine the polynomial identities satisfied by incidence algebras. One of our results is logically equivalent to the Amitsur-Levitzki Theorem on the polynomial identities satisfied by K n {K_n} , the algebra of of n × n n \times n matrices ...

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.

Polynomial identity algebras with involution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1971
It has been shown by W. Baxter and W. S. Martindale that if R R is an algebra with involution over a field F F of characteristic not 2, and the symmetric elements of R R are algebraic and satisfy a polynomial identity, then R R is locally finite.

Universal Conductance Fluctuations in Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Universal conductance fluctuations are observed in mesoscopic quantum anomalous Hall insulators. Two distinct fluctuation patterns are identified, arising from different interference processes of bulk and chiral edge states, respectively. These findings unveil rich quantum interference phenomena in quantum anomalous Hall insulators and provide insights

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

Printed 2.5D‐Microstructures with Material‐Specific Functionalization for Tunable Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The 2.5D‐MiSENSE platform integrates a microstructured biosensor with an in‐line milking pipeline to enable real‐time detection of mastitis biomarkers during active milk flow. The system uses a 2.5D microengineered surface and patterned electrodes to enhance milk–sensor interaction.

Some Identities Involving Chebyshev Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2015
The main purpose of this paper is using the combinatorial method and algebraic manipulations to study some sums of powers of Chebyshev polynomials and give several interesting identities. As some applications of these results, we obtained several divisibility properties involving Chebyshev polynomials.

Smart and Sustainable Sizing: Investigating the Sensing Behavior of Glass Fabrics Coated With Waterborne Polyurethane/Graphene Dispersions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Waterborne polyurethane/graphene formulations are developed as piezoresistive coatings on glass fabric to enable flexible strain sensing. The graphene‐enabled conductive network provides a stable electromechanical response under cyclic compression. The coating demonstrates reliable pressure‐dependent resistance changes, highlighting its potential for ...

Characterization of Droplet Formation in Ultrasonic Spray Coating: Influence of Ink Formulation Using Phase Doppler Anemometry and Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study explores how machine learning models, trained on small experimental datasets obtained via Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), can accurately predict droplet size (D32) in ultrasonic spray coating (USSC). By capturing the influence of ink complexity (solvent, polymer, nanoparticles), power, and flow rate, the model enables precise droplet control

MacWilliams Identities and Matroid Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2002
We present generalisations of several MacWilliams type identities, including those by Kløve and Shiromoto, and of the theorems of Greene and Barg that describe how the Tutte polynomial of the vector matroid of a linear code determines the $r$th support weight enumerators of the code.
