Interaction of Polyol Esters and Phosphate Esters with Metal Carbides

Tribology Letters, 2011
The need for higher performance in jet turbine engines has led to the development of alloys with greater hardness for use in bearings. The increased hardness is a result of carburizing of the surface which leads to a change in the surface chemistry through the formation of metal carbides.

Sesquiterpene Polyol Esters from Euonymus bungeanus

Journal of Natural Products, 1990
From the MeOH extract of the seed oil of Euonymus bungeanus, four new .beta.-dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene polyol esters were isolated. Their structures were established on the basis of chemical reactions and spectral analyses.

Synthesis of Tung Oil Anhydride-Ester Polyol

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Tung oil is a special biomass resource in China. Tung Oil has the characteristic to be transformed into serial derivatives for its active Conjugated double bond. Especially, tung oil anhydride-ester polyol (TOAEP) can be used as substitute of polyester polyol and/or polyether polyol in the synthesis and modification of polyurethane materials.

A sesquiterpene polyol ester from Euonymus sachalinensis

Phytochemistry, 1993
Abstract A new sesquiterpene ester, euosachalidin-A, was isolated from the fruits of Euonymus sachalinensis , and its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis. Complete assignment of all 1 H and 13 C NMR chemical shifts was achieved via 1 H 1 H COSY, 1 H 13 C COSY, NOESY and COLOC experiments.

Antitumor sesquiterpene polyol esters from Celastrus angulatus

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2012
Two new antitumor sesquiterpene polyol esters with the β-dihydroagarofuran skeleton, 1 and 2, and three known compounds 3–5 were isolated from the high-polar MeOH extracts of the root bark of Celastrus angulatus. Their chemical structures were elucidated mainly by analyses of MS and NMR spectral data.

Sesquiterpene Polyol Esters from Celastrus flagellaris

Journal of Natural Products, 1997
Two new β-dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene polyol esters named celastrine A (1) and celastrine B (2), as well as three known sesquiterpenes (3−5), were isolated from the seed oil of Celastrus flagellaris. Their structures were elucidated as 1α,6β,8α,13-tetraacetoxy-9α-(benzoyloxy)-β-dihydroagarofuran (1) and 1α-acetoxy-2α,9β-bis(cinnamoyloxy)-β ...

Four new sesquiterpene polyol esters from Celastrus angulatus

Phytochemistry Letters, 2014
Abstract Celastrus species, such as Celastrus angulatus , has been demonstrated to be very rich in natural sesquiterpene polyol esters sharing the β -dihydroagarofuran skeleton, some of which showed various biological activities. In this paper, four new sesquiterpene polyol esters, named as angulatins K-N ( 1 – 4 ), along with three known ones, 1
