Potential of Thermoset Polyolefins for FRP Concrete Reinforcing Bars
Overview of XLPO and pDCPD resins for FRP reinforcing bars, highlighting resin chemistry, key performance characteristics, fiber sizing interactions, and principal degradation mechanisms in concrete environments. ABSTRACT Although thermoset polyolefins offer resistance to hydrolytic degradation and favorable processing characteristics, their potential ...

Rheological Characterization and Multi‐Regime Viscosity Modeling of Diluted Polyethylene Mixtures
This study maps the flow behavior of low‐density polyethylene in a recycling solvent from dilute solutions to entangled melts. By integrating time–concentration and time–temperature superposition, and coupling three complementary rheometry methods, a unified semiempirical model accurately predicts steady‐shear viscosity over nine decades of viscosity ...

A Metathesis Route for BODIPY Labeled Polyolefins
It is demonstrated how acyclic diene metathesis polymerization (ADMET) provides an efficient strategy for the labeling of polyolefins. The versatility of phosphorus chemistry allows designing substituted BODIPY monomers or chain stoppers for the ...

Pretreatment Effects of Conventional and Reactive Extrusion on LLDPE Waste Pyrolysis
Schematic overview of the pyrolysis study using original and pretreated LLDPE waste samples. Pretreatment was performed via twin‐screw extrusion at 450°C: without additives (REX), with peroxide (REX‐RO2), or with polypropylene (REX–PP). All four samples underwent pyrolysis at 450°C–475°C for 15–45 min.

Catalytic Upcycling of Polyolefins
The large production volumes of commodity polyolefins (specifically, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, and poly(vinyl chloride)), in conjunction with their low unit values and multitude of short-term uses, have resulted in a significant and pressing waste management challenge. Only a small fraction of these polyolefins is currently mechanically

Performance Evaluation of Compression‐Molded Recycled Mixed Plastic Fractions From Light Packaging
Mixed HDPE/PP bottle‐cap waste was successfully processed through closed‐loop mechanical recycling. The recycled blends maintained stable thermal, rheological, and mechanical performance over multiple cycles, demonstrating the feasibility of valorizing heterogeneous polyolefin waste without advanced polymer separation.
