Nasal polyps are a common aetiology for persistent nasal obstruction. While antrochoanal polyps predominate the literature, the lesser known sphenochoanal polyp is equally as bothersome. To our knowledge, no prior dedicated review exists that characterises the patient population affected by this disease.

The antrochoanal polyp, a benign solitary polypoid lesion, usually arises in a maxillary sinus, opacifying and enlarging the sinus cavity without bone destruction. It passes through the ostium of the sinus into the choana, and from there into the posterior nasopharynx.

Gastric Polyp: Inflammatory Fibroid Polyp, Hyperplastic Polyp, and Inverted Hamartomatous Polyp

Carcinoma of the large bowel arises almost exclusively in neoplastic polyps, which are present in 5-10% of the population over age 40. These polyps may be of three histologic types: (a) tubular adenoma (adenomatous polyp), (b) tubulovillous adenoma (villoglandular polyp), and (c) villous adenoma.
