Multi‐Phase Heterostructured NiMoN Nanoflower as Bifunctional Separator Coatings for High‐Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 5, September 2026.
NiMoN nanoflowers are introduced as multifunctional separator coatings for Li–S batteries. The dual‐metal nitride structure offers strong polysulfide adsorption, accelerated redox kinetics, and enhanced Li+ transport. Compared to NiN and Celgard, NiMoN achieves superior cycling stability, lower capacity fading, and excellent rate performance ...

A Dual‐Conductive and Robust Binder With Cross‐Linked Network for Enhanced Sulfur Cathode

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 5, September 2026.
A dual‐conductive and mechanically robust cross‐linked binder integrates efficient Li+ transport, continuous electronic pathways, effective polysulfide regulation, and strong mechanical reinforcement, enabling accelerated sulfur redox kinetics, suppressed shuttle effects, and durable cycling in Li–S batteries. ABSTRACT The sulfur (S) cathode of lithium–

2H‐Phase Molybdenum Diselenide/Hollow Carbon Sphere‐Based Separator With “One‐Stone‐Two‐Birds” Effect Boosting High‐Performance Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 5, September 2026.
The synergistic 2H‐MoSe2/HCS coating effectively suppresses the polysulfide shuttle through dual mechanisms of chemisorption and physical confinement. This results in exceptional long‐cycle stability (800 mAh g−1 after 1500 cycles at 1 C), alongside remarkable electrochemical reversibility.

Interfacial and Ligand Dual Engineering Toward Energy‐Saving Hydrogen Production Coupled with Sulfion Degradation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
Using a coordinated regulation strategy of interface and ligand, we developed a nickel cobalt sulfide/carboxylate ligand‐modified nickel cobalt hydroxide composite (NiCo‐S/NiCo‐OH‐CL) with abundant heterointerfaces. Owing to the porous network, sulfur‐repellent hydrophilic surface, and dual electronic structure regulation, the coupled electrolysis ...
