Study of prophenoloxidase activating system of freshwater crayfish (Pontastacus leptodactylus)

2006
Phenoloxidase (Po) activity was measusred spectrophotometrically in serum, plasma and haemocytes (HLS) of the freshwater crayfish (Pontastacus leptodactylus). The highest activity was found in HLS suggesting that the haemocytes are the major source of the Po or its proform prophenoloxidase (proPO) in crayfish.

Optimization of the incubation time and temperature for spermatozoa extraction in freshwater crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus (Eschscholtz, 1823)

Animal Reproduction Science, 2018
Determination and control of spermatozoa quality in crustacean aquaculture is an important issue for successful and controlled reproduction. Investigation of spermatozoa number in spermatophores is a basic and common parameter for determining the reproductive quality in farmed decapods.

A description of postembryonic development of Astacus astacus and Pontastacus leptodactylus

Freshwater Crayfish, 2020
Abstract Morphology in general and developmental morphology in particular provide us with an insight into the evolution, phylogeny, ecological features, behavior, and life cycle of organisms. The present study describes the external morphology of the first three postembryonic developmental stages (Stage 13) of two prominent European crayfish species,

Determination of Terbium's Oxidative Stress and Antioxidant Responses in Pontastacus leptodactylus

2023
Terbiyum (Tb), su ortamında yüksek konsantrasyonlarda bulunduğunda sucul organizmalar için toksik hale gelebilen nadir toprak elementi (NTE)’dir. Tatlı su ekosistemindeki Tb toksisitesinin meydana getirdiği oksidatif stres sonuçlarıyla ilgili hala yeterince çalışmalar mevcut değildir.

Acclimation, thermal tolerance and aerobic metabolism of narrow-clawed crayfish, Pontastacus leptodactylus (Eschscholtz, 1823)

Journal of Thermal Biology
Ectotherms are considered more susceptible to global warming. Variations in ambient temperature are especially alarming as the majority of animals are ectothermic, with temperature seen as a crucial determinant of their ecology, biogeography, behaviour, and physiology.

???????????? ???????? (Crustacea, Astacidae) ???????????????????? ??????????. ?????????????????? II. ?????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????? ??? Astacus (Pontastacus) leptodactylus Eschscholts, 1823

2023
A study of taxonomy and peculiarities in distribution of the most frequent genus Astacus (Pontastacus) leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823 and its smaller taxons as well as an analysis of the literature data testify to the fact that in nature the areas of distribution with one species of Astacidae are very rare; very often even one water body is inhabited ...

[Study of circadian activity in the crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus during their multimonth stay in the river water flow].

Zhurnal evoliutsionnoi biokhimii i fiziologii, 2009
By the method of non-invasive on-line recording and processing of photoplethysmograms of testaceous invertebrates, the circadian rhythm of cardiac activity was studied in the crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus by recording for several months the heart rate (HR) and stress-index (characteristics of variational pulsometry).
