Large Population Limit of Interacting Population Dynamics via Generalized Gradient Structures
This chapter focuses on the derivation of a doubly nonlocal Fisher-KPP model, which is a macroscopic nonlocal evolution equation describing population dynamics in the large population limit. The derivation starts from a microscopic individual-based model described as a stochastic process on the space of atomic measures with jump rates that satisfy ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Description of the Incidence among Population of Industrial Cities in the Irkutsk Region
The industrial cities of Irkutsk region are a type of socio-ecological systems, the population of which for a long time lives under the combined influence of adverse technogenic and socio-economic factors. The aim of the study was to assess the ...

Dynamic Model for Life History of Scyphozoa. [PDF]
A two-state life history model governed by ODEs is formulated to elucidate the population dynamics of jellyfish and to illuminate the triggering mechanism of its blooms.

Aspiration dynamics generate robust predictions in structured populations
Evolutionary game dynamics in structured populations are strongly affected by updating rules. Previous studies usually focus on imitation-based rules, which rely on payoff information of social peers. Recent behavioral experiments suggest that whether individuals use such social information for strategy updating may be crucial to the outcomes of social

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

One of the largest causes of fluctuations in the size and structure of populations is changes in the environment. In nature, these changes are often temporally autocorrelated and the strength and direction of the autocorrelation can affect population ...

Learnt dynamics generalizes across tasks, datasets, and populations
Differentiating multivariate dynamic signals is a difficult learning problem as the feature space may be large yet often only a few training examples are available. Traditional approaches to this problem either proceed from handcrafted features or require large datasets to combat the m >> n problem.
