Strength of Highly Porous Ceramic Electrodes
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 2011Highly porous ceramics are critical components of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. Nevertheless, their mechanical properties are poor and not fully understood. Herein, Discrete Element simulations are used to quantitatively assess the relation between the particulate microstructure of highly porous ceramics and their mechanical properties.

Ceramic porous materials with catalytic properties
Perspektivnye Materialy, 2019Undoubted leadership among catalytic materials for the purification of exhaust gases is occupied by composite cermets. Creation of catalytic materials for gas purification indicates that the main problem is partial or complete replacement of rare earth metals in their composition.

Porous PZT ceramics for receiving transducers
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2003PZT-air (porous PZT) and PZT-polymer (polymer impregnated porous PZT) piezocomposites with varying porosity/polymer volume fractions have been manufactured. The composites were characterized in terms of hydrostatic charge (dh) and voltage (gh) coefficients, permittivity, hydrostatic figure of merit (dh.gh), and absolute sensitivity (M). With decreasing

Ceramics International, 1997
Abstract Ceramic gels are composed of colloidal particles or polymeric macro-molecules aggregated in a three-dimensional very open network. This paper addresses the network architecture of porous materials which can be made from these gels. The main parameters which have an influence on the pores, during the low temperature chemical procedure, as ...
